How to Prepare
If you use a transfer station: Rinse and place all items in a container with lid or a plastic bag. Bagged recyclables must be emptied at transfer station. If you use a waste haler: Please contact your waste hauler for specific instructions

Recycle these items at the Oswego County Transfer Stations

  • Dry Cell Batteries: Ni-cad, AAA, AA, C, D, 6-volt, 9-volt, button. No auto batteries.
  • Electronics: Computers, monitors, printers, cell phones, TVs, microwaves, fax machines NO fluorescent bulbs, kitchen or personal appliances.
  • Motor Oil: NO business oil.
  • Scrap Metal: Pots, pans, metal appliances, lawn mowers, bicycles, aluminum siding, etc. NO sealed drums, fuel tanks, or pressurized tanks.
  • Used Clothing: Clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, drapes
  • Yard Waste & Compost: Leaves, brush & tree waste, grass, hay/straw, weeds, fruits & vegetables, coffee grounds
